Children's Scholarship Fund Philadelphia Marks Milestone

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- On Thursday, the Children's Scholarship Fund of Philadelphia reached a milestone by granting 10,000 scholarships.

The annual student awards ceremony was held at the Kimmel Center where 2,000 kindergarten through 8^th grade scholarships were given out.

The organization started in 1998 with a mission of helping low income Philadelphia families.

10 high school graduates also received college scholarships.
