Children, Philadelphia Fire Department Paint Mural In Honor Of Fallen Firefighters

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Children and members of the Philadelphia Fire Department spent the day Saturday helping to complete a mural.

The mural honors fallen firefighters, Joyce Craig and James Hynes.

In 2014 Craig was the first female Philadelphia firefighter to die in the line of duty.

Hynes died in the line of duty along with Terry McElveen in 1997.

Hynes grew up in the Lawncrest neighborhood where cCraigwas last assigned.
