Child Injured In House Fire In North Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A child was injured after a fire broke out inside one home and then spread to two others in North Philadelphia.

The flames broke out around 2 a.m. Monday in the 2600 block of North 18th Street.

Fire crews had to deal with heavy smoke before locating the source of the blaze.

A child inside one of the homes was taken to St. Christopher's Hospital for smoke inhalation.

There was no word on the child's condition.
