Dog Bit Boy Waiting For School Bus, Officials Say

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Officials say a young boy was waiting for the school bus Thursday morning when a dog bit him on his lower back in the Strawberry Mansion section of the city.

Chopper 3 showed the emergency response along the 3200 block of Diamond Street.

Animal care and control was called out and the dog is now in their custody.

The dog is now being held in quarantine for at least the next ten days. Investigators have not found the dog's owner.

The boy was taken to Hahnemann Hospital for non life-threatening injuries.
