Man shot, killed in Philadelphia's East Germantown neighborhood, police say
A 22-year-old man was shot and killed Monday afternoon in Philadelphia's East Germantown neighborhood, police said.
Police identified the victim as Syree Boyd on Tuesday. They said Boyd was shot multiple times in the 500 block of East Duval Street near Chew Avenue shortly before 1:30 p.m.
Boyd was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead about 30 minutes later, police said.
Investigators have yet to identify a motive or establish any suspects.
The investigation is being handled by the police department's homicide unit. No arrests have been made.
