Cherry Hill Wins American Legion State Baseball Championship

UNION, N.J., (CBS) -- Cherry Hill Post 372 captured the New Jersey Junior American Legion Baseball State Championship on Wednesday night. Cherry Hill defeated Newtown Post 86 by a final score of 2-0.

The tight ball-game lasted 15 innings and took place at Teener Field in Union, N.J.

A 15th inning double by Cherry Hill's John Kinnerman started the scoring. The second run was added by Robert Miller.

The victory for Cherry Hill marked their second State Title in three years.
