Cheltenham Township Authorities Investigating Murder-Suicide At Apartment Complex

CHELTENHAM TOWNSHIP, Pa. (CBS) -- Authorities are investigating a murder-suicide that occurred in an apartment complex in Cheltenham Township on Friday.

Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele said in a statement that Cheltenham Township Police responded to a call shortly after 10:30 a.m. on Friday to check the well-being of a resident in the 2000 block of South John Russell Circle. When officers arrived at the Lynnewood Gardens Apartment complex, they discovered a man and woman dead inside the apartment.

Officials: Mayor Charged With DUI After Fleeing Crash

The two were identified as 31-year-old Ashley Conway and 29-year-old Roger Chandler. Authorities say they both lived in the apartment.

The Montgomery County Coroner's Office determined Conway died of multiple gunshot wounds, while Chandler died as a result of a single gunshot wound to the head.
