Cheltenham High School Goes Virtual Ahead Of Winter Break Due To Spike In COVID-19 Cases

CHELTENHAM TOWNSHIP, Pa. (CBS) -- Cheltenham High School is going virtual ahead of winter break as COVID-19 cases are spiking. On Wednesday, Dec. 22 students will participate in a full day of virtual learning and on Thursday, Dec. 23 there will be virtual learning with early dismissal leading to winter break at 1:55 p.m.

Twenty cases have been reported this week at Cheltenham High School, including five among the boy's basketball team.

The high school has postponed its annual Winter Ball until January.

The Cheltenham School District is struggling with a sharp uptick in COVID-19 cases with a total of 43 new cases among students and staff this week.
