Charity Groups Team Up To Give Gifts To Philadelphia Boy Battling Leukemia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A local boy battling Leukemia receives a special delivery.

Santa joined the Philadelphia Police Department and the U.S. Army to surprise 14-year-old Sal in South Philadelphia.

There was a procession down the street before Sal was handed dozens of gifts.

His mother says the act of kindness means a lot to her son.

"Very excited, very excited. He's hiding it now, but he's very excited. I can see it on his face."

It's Sal's dream to join the army one day.

The special event was put together by two local groups, Kisses for Kyle and Live for Eric.
