Charges Expected In Death Of Delaware Teen

WILMINGTON, De. (CBS) -- Howard High School of Technology student, Amy Joyner-Francis, died on April 21 after as assault in the bathroom of the school.

At this point no charges have been filed. Wilmington Police Chief Bobby Cummings declined an on camera interview, but told Eyewitness News that his office is working with the Delaware Attorney General's office on the case.

Wilmington Mayor Dennis Williams' office commented further in a statement:

"The Wilmington Police Department continues to work with the Attorney General's office to determine the appropriate charges relating to the incident which occurred at Howard High School."

Authorities won't say when the charges will come down, but confirmed there will be charges.
