Center City Residents Start Making Plans Ahead Of Pope's Visit

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The last weekend in September is going to be like nothing Philadelphia has seen before. Many residents and people who work in the city are starting to think about how they will get around when Pope Francis is in town.
Many are wondering what happens when more than one million visitors flood the city. One hotel general manager says his staff is unsure what to do:
"They're concerned how they're going to get to work, how we're going to get any of our guests to the hotel and how we're even going to get our trash taken or our linens taken care of. We're trying to figure it out."
A lot of Rittenhouse Square residents tell KYW Newsradio they have already devised a plan:
"Get out of town for the weekend and avoid the chaos."
"Gonna try to get out of town for that weekend because I know it's going to be gridlock around here."
"I'll go to New York, if I can, with family. That would be my first choice."
Those who do plan on staying, say they plan on staying close to home and stocking up on supplies as if a snow storm were coming.
