14′ Digital Ad Space Installed Above Market Street

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- There's a new sign lighting up Market Street East in Center City, Philadelphia.

Part of the redevelopment of Market Street is a 14-foot-high digital sign at the corner of 7th street, on top of the Lits building.

"The whole purpose of this project was to find a new revenue source," says Paul Levy with the Center City District.

Levy says this ad-friendly digital motion graphic sign is the largest in the Mid-Atlantic region.

"This revenue source is going to light this building not simply at the top but light the entire historic facade. This revenue source is going to help the Gallery do a lot of their rennovation -- it is helping East Market Street," Levy says.

Officials plan on expanding the sign so that it stretches to 8th street.
