MENLO PARK, Calif. (CBS) -- Facebook users should expect to see a lot of rainbow filters in their newsfeeds.

Following today's historic US Supreme Court ruling legalizing same-sex marriage in all 50 states, Facebook added a new feature called "Let's Celebrate Pride," which will automatically put a rainbow-striped tint over your profile picture.

On the "Celebrate Pride" page, Facebook users will see a preview of what their profile picture would look like with a rainbow filter.  Clicking the "use as profile picture" button will automatically add the feature to your existing profile photo.

Facebook is following the lead of other tech companies celebrating the Supreme Court ruling.  Twitter has added new emojis #Pride and #LoveWins, and Google added rainbow artwork on its search results pages for phrases such as "gay marriage" and "same-sex marriage."
