Caught On Tape: Woman Steals USPS Package Delivered To South Philly Home

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia police are searching for the female who was caught on tape stealing a package that was delivered to a home.

The theft happened at about 4:45 p.m. on November 14th at a home in the 500 block of Reed Street in South Philadelphia.

Surveillance footage shows a mail carrier from the United States Postal Service delivering a package and leaving it behind the storm door of a home on the block.

About 45 minutes later, the female suspect is shown approaching the home, opening the door, taking the package and walking away from the home.

The contents of the package were not released by police.

The suspect is described as a white female with a medium build and long light brown hair. She was wearing a brown jacket, tan pants and dark-colored shoes.
