Caught On Camera: Man Knocked Unconscious Outside Phila. Nightclub

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police are investigating a video of a man being knocked unconscious outside of a Center City nightclub.

Authorities say it happened early Friday morning at Coda Nightclub at 1712 Walnut Street.

In the video, a man is talking to another man who appears to be a bouncer. According to Coda Nightclub, the apparent bouncer was not an employee of the club and the man who was punched, is a member of the club.

Coda Nightclub spokesperson Dan Gross issued the following statement:

"We are disgusted by the assault that took place early Friday morning outside our establishment. The man who punched our member does not work for CODA. That individual did not act, nor had permission to act, on behalf of our venue.

It was our staff that called 911 to report the incident and CODA management has and will continue to cooperate fully with the Philadelphia Police Department.

CODA has no tolerance for violence such as this and we pride ourselves on maintaining a safe and positive space where people can enjoy live entertainment"

There is no word on the man's condition.

So far, no charges have been filed.
