Carjacking Suspects Denied Bail, Preliminary Hearing Set For August

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The two suspects in the deadly carjacking and hit and run crash were arraigned shortly before two on Tuesday morning.
Both were denied bail.
A vigil will be held at the crash site -- on the corner of Germantown and Allegheny avenues -- Tuesday evening at 6 o'clock.
Many people have been stopping by all morning to pay their respects to the three siblings who lost their lives.
Fifteen-year-old Keiearra Williams, 10-year-old Joseph Reed and seven-year-old Terrence Moore were struck and killed.
Nineteen-year-old Jonathan Rosa and 22-year-old Cornelius Crawford are now facing murder, sexual assault and numerous other charges.
Police say they carjacked a realtor -- sexually assaulting her while the vehicle was in motion -- that's when police they one of the tires blew sending the stolen SUV into the corner where the three siblings were selling fruit.
The children's mother - Keisha Williams and the realtor were injured -- both remain hospitalized.
Neighbors are praying for the victims.
"That's one thing that we know works is prayer, and this family is going to need it. So is the city," says Ethel Cherry, of Germantown.
City council is looking into plans to create a permanent memorial for the children at the crash site.
As for the suspects, a preliminary hearing is set for August 13.
