Car, Train Collide In Bucks County

NEW BRITAIN, Pa., (CBS) --– Chopper 3 over the scene of an accident involving a vehicle and a SEPTA train in Bucks County.

It happened at about 6:34 p.m. near West Butler Avenue and Bristol Road in New Britain Borough.

There, a SEPTA spokesman says an outbound Doylestown regional rail train hit a car that was on the tracks.  SEPTA says no one on the train was hurt.

CBS 3 is told rescue crews pulled the driver from the vehicle.  She was taken to Abington Memorial Hospital.  There is no word on her condition.

SEPTA says service is suspended between Chalfont and Doylestown.  Shuttle buses are being provided.  There is no word on when service will resume, however, SEPTA officials do not believe it will impact the morning commute.

Crews are still investigating.
