Car Slams Into Credit Union Building In South Philly

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police are investigating what caused a car to slam into a building in South Philadelphia Tuesday morning.

It happened just before 11 a.m. at the Police and Fire Federal Credit Union building on South Broad Street.

The collision caused a partial building collapse and damaged two pillars.

Chopper 3 HD was over the scene where it showed a sedan in front of the building that crashed into the pillar.

The pillar then collapsed onto the hood of the car and the front windshield.

There were no reports of injuries. L&I has been notified.

The incident remains under investigation.
