Car Owners Getting Close-Up Look At Damage From PA Turnpike Crash

BRISTOL, Pa. (CBS) - The owners of the cars involved in Friday's chain reaction crashes on the Pennsylvania Turnpike are getting a look now at the damage to their vehicles to see whether or not they can be fixed.
Between 75 and 80 cars were towed to Rob's Automotive and Collision Center in Bristol, Bucks County where they were inventoried over the weekend. Those vehicles are now ready for their owners to come take a look.
Ray Kauffman with Smith Roofing says it will be up to the insurance company, but it looks like his company lost a plow truck:
"Oh frame...back end…mostly all back end. It's all done and then the plow looks like it just broke off. The hinges broke off of it and all the cylinders broke off, the motor came loose."
Kauffman says they use the plow to clear driveways on their jobs and with the winter the way it's been, this was their bread and butter.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, but Kauffman says his driver told them there was ice all over the roadway:
"That's kind of what he said. He has pictures of it on his phone, he said it was unbelievable...says it was like they don't do nothing."
Kevin Wilson with Rob's says as many as two-thirds of the cars may be total losses. He says they also towed six tractor trailers from the Turnpike.
