Deadly fiery crash shuts down portion of I-95 in Wilmington for several hours
WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) – A deadly, fiery crash shut down the southbound lanes of I-95 in Wilmington for several hours on Tuesday. A vehicle slammed into a truck in a construction zone and then caught fire, around 6:15 a.m.
I-95 southbound, between Concord Pike (Route 202) and Route 52, was closed for about seven hours. The road has since reopened.

There are reports that the vehicle and a piece of construction equipment melted together in the fire.
The scene was cleared around 1:30 p.m.
