Car Accident Injures Philadelphia Police Officers And Two Civilians

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Two Philadelphia Police officers and two civilians were transported to the hospital following a car accident involving the police and two other vehicles on Sunday.

According to authorities, the accident occurred just after noon in the area of 55th St. and Haverford Avenue. The driver of the police car, as well as the officer in the passenger seat, were transported to Presbyterian Hospital.

Both officers are currently in stable condition according to Police.

Two civilians who were driving in the third vehicle involved in the accident were transported to Lankenau and authorities say that they are also in stable condition at this time.
