'Francis Fields' Campground In Fairmount Park To Be Set Up For Papal Visit

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Visitors to Philadelphia for the visit of Pope Francis can camp in Fairmount Park.

The campground will be called "Francis Fields."

The cost is $199 dollars per camper with additional fees for car and RV parking.

According to a news release, campground amenities include restrooms, showers, food and beverage vendors, grills, charging stations, and a general store. The news release says the Fields will be monitored by medical and security personnel, along with a multilingual information team. Next-to-car camping, tent-only camping, and a limited number of RV spots, with full power hook up and pumping services, will be available.

The campground will open on September 24th and close on September 28th.

There is a limited quantity of tickets that can be purchased through www.francisfields2015.org and www.worldmeeting2015.org.
