3 Sought In Shooting That Wounded Cab Driver In South Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS/AP) — Authorities are looking for three suspects in a shooting that injured a taxi driver in South Philadelphia.

Police said two men and a woman flagged down the Get A Cab taxi just before 3:30 a.m. Saturday in front of a gas station along the 2300 block of Morris Street in the Point Breeze section of the city and asked to be taken to a South Philadelphia address.

When they arrived, police said, the two men pointed guns at the 38-year-old driver and demanded money, and both fired one shot, hitting the driver once in the right arm.

Police said the victim continued to drive before crashing into several parked cars, then got out of the vehicle and flagged down a police officer on patrol. The trio fled and the driver was taken to Penn-Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition.
