Bucks County Man Creates Titanic Virtual Reality Game
BUCKS COUNTY, Pa. (CBS) -- A Bucks County man is developing a video game that would let you explore every room of the Titanic in virtual reality.
Tom Lynskey is developing "Titanic: Honor and Glory," a mystery video and computer game where the player is framed for murder and robbery and has to track down the real killer on the ship. He's worked with Titanic historians, even consultants who worked on the 1997 film, to re-create the inside of the ship.
"Every room, every corridor, every cabin and every linen closet you can go and explore them and they are fully authentic," Lynskey told Eyewitness News.

Lynskey says the game will be educational and entertaining. He and several partners have already raised $80,000 for the project and they are actively talking with potential investors. They are shooting for a $10 million goal.
One of his Titanic videos has 11 million views on YouTube.
"It's also to try to hook a few people who might not be interested in history, but just want an exciting story," he said.
Lynskey told Eyewitness News he wants the game to be available on the computer, and through gaming consoles. He expects to finish it three years after he reaches his funding goal.
"It's a ship that lasted for five days and sank 104 years ago and yet everyone still thinks about it," he said.
