Bucks Co. Police Department Cleared In Teen Suspect Tasering Incident

BRISTOL, Pa. (CBS) - The Tullytown Police Department has been cleared of any wrongdoing in connection with an incident where a police officer used a taser on a teenage shoplifting suspect last year.
The FBI doesn't comment on the status of investigations, but on the police department's Facebook page there's a message from Chief Daniel Doyle. It says the FBI has closed its review and cleared the department.
The FBI and the Bucks County DA's office investigated to review whether any excessive force was used. Prosecutors cleared the department in December.
The incident occurred at a Walmart and images of the 14-year-old boy's injuries were circulated on social media creating an outcry from some members of his family.
Meanwhile, the teen's mother was arrested last month for shoplifting at the same store. She remains behind bars.
