Brush Fire Burns In Atlantic County

PORT REPUBLIC, NJ (CBS) -- Crews battled a 20-acre fire in Atlantic County on Wednesday afternoon.

Officials say the blaze burned right off of the Garden State Parkway in Port Republic, New Jersey. Authorities say at least 50 acres burned along the highway.

The fire was contained around 6:00 p.m.

The ramp for exit had to be closed for several hours, but is back open.

Authorities say no homes or businesses appear to be in danger and no evacuation orders were put in place.

Officials are still investigating the cause of the fire.
