Brothers' Wrestling Match Ends With Stabbing In New Jersey

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) — Authorities say a "wrestling incident" between two brothers in southern New Jersey ended with one stabbing the other in the abdomen.

Egg Harbor Township police say 29-year-old Matthew Dix was charged with aggravated assault and weapons offenses.

His bail was set at $25,000 and it wasn't known if he had retained a lawyer.

The stabbing occurred early Sunday at a township home. Authorities say Dix and his 26-year-old brother, Ryan, had been wrestling when things escalated for some reason and the stabbing occurred.

Ryan Dix was treated at a hospital, but further details on his injuries were not disclosed.
