Deadly fire in Bristol Borough, Bucks County, under investigation

A three-alarm fire in Bristol Borough, Pennsylvania, left one person dead Monday night, borough officials said.

The fire started just after 6 p.m. on the 300 block of Dorrance Street. When crews arrived, they found two homes with heavy fire and a third with moderate fire conditions.

Fire crews found one person dead inside the home where the fire broke out, borough officials said in an email. One person was rescued and taken to a nearby hospital for smoke inhalation.

The fire was brought under control about 90 minutes after it started.

The Bucks County Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
