Brian Dawkins Gets Emotional: 'Fans Being Buried In My Uniform'

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Brian Dawkins is an emotional guy.
But there's something extra powerful about seeing one of the city's most beloved athletes ever get emotional over the Philadelphia fans.
"To have the opportunity to be in front of these of fans, to give everything I had, that meant the world to me," an emotional Dawkins told reporters on Thursday, when speaking about being named a 2017 Pro Football Hall Of Fame semifinalist.

"And the reason why I'm emotional right now, is because of the letters I've gotten with people being buried...buried...buried in my uniform. That's a special connection. That's a special connection."
