PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Breakfast is a very important meal.  It's certainly something that can get you a good start on the day, but what type of breakfast should you eat?

There are numerous options, but keep these in mind: you should include fruit, perhaps fresh juice, and you should have some sort of source of protein.

Many people avoid carbohydrates but they are not necessarily all that bad.  The thing you have to realize is that with carbohydrates and sugar comes problems like damage to the teeth and the fatigue that can come a few hours later as well as the empty calories and issues that can lead to metabolic syndrome and other long term health issues.

You have to use common sense like you do in all meals but the other key point is everything in moderation. This maybe the most important advice of all.
