PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Bartenders from some of Philadelphia's most popular watering holes faced off in a bourbon battle all for a good cause.

Nearly 200 people packed into The Trestle Inn Wednesday evening for the '4th Annual Bourbon Battle,' an event benefiting the Animal Care and Control Team of Philadelphia.

"We have some absolutely delicious cocktails, courtesy of the Trestle Inn, Brick And Mortar, Charlie Was A Sinner and Olde Bar. The bartenders got creative with their concoctions. They're infused with apple crisps, chili peppers and all kinds of other exotic ingredients."

Josette Bonafina hosted the event.

"I am very passionate about animal rescue, so it makes me feel wonderful to be able to raise to raise money specifically for a program that helps keeps pets together with their families."

The event raised more than $3,000 dollars for ACCT Philly Pet Food Pantry, which provides free cat and dog food for families who cannot afford it.
