Bon Jovi To Speak At Rutgers-Camden Commencement

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. (AP) — Jon Bon Jovi will be among the speakers at Rutgers University's graduation ceremonies this spring.

The university said Thursday that he will give remarks at Rutgers University-Camden's commencement on May 21 at the Susquehanna Bank Center. Bon Jovi has done charity work in Camden.

Criminal defense attorney Bryan Stevenson will also deliver remarks there. Stevenson is executive director of the Equal Justice Initiative, which represents capital defendants and death row inmates in the Deep South.

Scientist and TV personality Bill Nye will speak at Rutgers University-New Brunswick's commencement address on May 17.

Earl Lewis, a historian and author, will address graduates at Rutgers University-Newark's commencement on May 18. He is president of the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.

All four will receive honorary degrees.
