Body Found In Bay Identified As Missing New Jersey Man

VENTNOR, N.J. (AP) — Authorities say the body of a southern New Jersey man who went missing nearly three months ago after leaving a poker party was found in a waterway near his home.

High school crew teams practicing on the bay in Ventnor spotted Kennedy Rios' body around 4 p.m. Friday. Their coaches then notified authorities.

The 21-year-old Ventnor man was last seen in the early morning hours Jan. 8, when he left the party at a friend's house and walked out into single-digit temperatures without a jacket, gloves, hat or his cellphone.

A state police boat soon arrived at the scene and removed Rios' body from the water.

The cause of death remains under investigation.
