It happened around 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday on the 1800 block of North 21st Street in North Philly.

Firefighters found one man dead inside the home. Two firefighters were also injured, and transported to Temple Hosptial in stable condition.

Authorities say there were conflicting reports of other occupants of the building, which is an illegal boarding house.

After several contacts with family members, during the course of the investigation, they had reason to send a fire company back to the scene.

On Friday night, authorities tell CBS3 that three more bodies were found inside the fire-ravaged home.

Police have not identified the victims at this time.

The poor condition of the building is hampering the investigation into the cause of the fire.
