'Blood Moon' Lunar Eclipse Can Be Seen Wednesday Morning

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- The appearance of a phenomenon known as a blood moon had many here and around the world looking up into the sky. And in some cases that meant a predawn trip to get the best view.
Getting a glimpse of the second and final total lunar eclipse of the year meant an early rise on this Wednesday morning.
That includes Kamry here at Belmont Plateau, sitting on a blanket with a friend.
"We were looking forward to it for a couple of days, and when we found out it was in the morning we decided we would wake up super early because it was going to be at the same time as sunrise - so that would be pretty cool," she said.
So early, that her friend just laughed and said she couldn't answer any questions.
But it was quite the sight, the eclipse of the moon slowly developing and peaking at around 6:30 am when the moon took on a reddish hue, the clouds staying away for this early morning show.
