Blog: 2014 Car Complaint Index

By Jim Donovan: Thinking about buying a car and wondering about which models are most reliable? Or maybe you're having problems with a vehicle you currently own. When it comes to auto complaints, there's a list that auto makers don't want you to see. It's called The Car Complaint Index.

The list, compiled every year by Jack Gillis and the Center for Auto Safety, takes a look at the cars that generating the most complaints per sales. The complaints, which are filed with the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration, range from transmission shudders to loss of power to airbags not deploying.
