Bicyclist Injured In Cobbs Creek Hit-And-Run

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police are searching for the driver of a car involved in a hit-and-run overnight that injured a bicyclist in West Philadelphia.

It happened around 2 a.m. Tuesday near 52nd and Spruce Streets in the Cobbs Creek section of the city.

Police say a 46-year old man when riding a bicycle when he was struck by a white or silver SUV.  The driver of the vehicle never stopped.

The victim suffered injuries to his head and ribs. He was taken to Presbyterian Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

Investigators collected evidence from the scene and are searching for vehicle involved.
