A woman was killed in a wrong-way crash in Bethlehem Township, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday night.

The crash happened just before 9:30 p.m. on the 5200 block of Freemansburg Avenue.

Bethlehem Township police said a 21-year-old woman, driving a black Volkswagen Beetle, was heading east on Freemansburg Avenue when she crossed over to westbound lanes and sideswiped a silver Ford Focus. The Volkswagen Beetle then crashed into a utility pole.

The Northampton County coroner said the victim was Kelsey Anne Rodgers, of Bethlehem Township, and ruled the death an accident.

Rodgers was dead when first responders arrived.

The driver of the Ford, a 29-year-old woman, was not injured.

The road was closed for about seven hours during the investigation.
