Ben Simmons Is Favorite To Win Rookie Of The Year

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- No surprise here.

The Philadelphia 76ers' No. 1 overall pick Ben Simmons is the favorite to win the NBA's 2016-17 rookie of the year award. Per Bovada LV, Simmons is 13/4 (a little more than 3/1) to win the award.

Simmons, however, is not the only Sixer on the list. 2014 third-overall pick Joel Embiid is listed at 14/1, the seventh shortest odds. Embiid, 7'0", 250 pounds, has missed his first two NBA seasons after having two straight foot surgeries.

Buddy Hield of the Pelicans has the second shortest odds (11/2) followed by Brandon Ingram of the Lakers (13/2).
