Auto Shop Employee Killed When Vehicle Falls On Top Of Him In Bucks County

BENSALEM, Pa. (CBS) – Police confirm an employee was killed when a vehicle fell on top of him at an auto body shop in Bucks County.

The incident took place at Negretes Auto Service on the 4000 block of Bristol Pike in Bensalem Monday afternoon.

Police say that a male employee was performing mechanical work underneath a vehicle that was raised on jack stands.  One of the jack stands collapsed, which caused the vehicle to fall on top of the victim.

Authorities say the male was pronounced dead at the scene.

The coroner's office remains at the scene and police are investigating.

Police say the victim's identity is not being released at this time and OSHA has been notified to assist with the investigation.
