Authorities: Woman Charged With Hindering Investigation In Shooting Death Of 8-Year-Old

CAMDEN, NJ (CBS) -- Authorities say a 35-year-old woman is charged with hindering a homicide investigation after she allegedly provided a false alibi for a person of interest.

Officials say the investigation is in the shooting death of eight-year-old Gabrielle Hill-Carter, who was killed on August 24 in Camden, New Jersey.

Authorities say Shakia Land was charged with one count fourth degree of hindering an investigation.

Authorities say the charge carries a potential sentence of 18 months in state prison.

Detectives are actively investigating this case and urge anyone with information to come forward.

The Citizens Crime Commission is offering a $76,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for her homicide.
