Authorities: Man Robbed 3 Banks In 3 Days In NJ Town

CLIFTON, N.J. (AP) — Authorities say a man who robbed three banks in three days in a northern New Jerseytown has been captured.

Clifton police say 43-year-old Jarjisu Isaah, of Newark, was arrested late Saturday morning, shortly after the latest robbery occurred. That came after authorities stopped the sport utility vehicle that he allegedly used to flee from the banks.

Authorities say the proceeds from that robbery and clothing that Isaah allegedly used to disguise himself were recovered. He faces three counts of robbery, and it wasn't known Sunday if he has retained an attorney.

In each robbery, Isaah allegedly passed a note demanding cash from tellers. No weapon was shown during any of the robberies.

Authorities would not say how much cash was taken in the robberies.
