Authorities Looking For Person Who Shot And Killed Bald Eagle

READING, Pa. (AP) — Authorities are looking for the person who shot and killed a bald eagle in eastern Pennsylvania last week.

The Pennsylvania Game Commission says it received a call from a person who heard a gunshot and found the injured eagle Wednesday night near Andreas. The eagle died shortly thereafter.

Wildlife Conservation Officer Joel Gibble recovered the bird and spoke to the witness.

He says they need the public's help to hold the person responsible for this "heinous act" accountable.
