Authorities Investigate Multiple Storage Unit Burglaries In NE Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Detectives are searching for suspects wanted for several storage unit burglaries in Northeast Philadelphia.

Police say the suspects enter the storage facilities then they cut the locks to the units.

Surveillance video at the Extra Storage Space, located on 1553 Grant Avenue, showed two unknown males removing items from storage units for several hours, then fleeing in a newer model pickup truck with a possible extended cab.

The burglaries occurred at Public Storage on Byberry Road between September 21 at 5 p.m. and September 22 and 11 a.m., Public Storage on Oxford Avenue on September 30 between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. and Extra Storage Space on Grant Avenue on October 6 between midnight and 4 a.m.

Anyone with information on the burglaries is urged to contact Philadelphia Police.
