Authorities: Suspect Allegedly Robs Pharmacy, Carjacks Priest In Camden County

HADDONFIELD, N.J., (CBS) -- The Camden County Prosecutor's Office and Haddonfield Police Department are searching for a suspect wanted in connection with an alleged armed robbery and carjacking.

Authorities say around 12:10 p.m. Tuesday, a person entered a Rite Aid on the 700 block of Haddon Avenue. According to investigators, he allegedly jumped over the pharmacy counter, displayed a firearm and demanded Adderall and oxycodone.

Authorities say he received an undisclosed quantity of Adderall pill bottles and ran into the parking lot, where they say he allegedly carjacked a priest.

Authorities say the man allegedly drove the car about a block then exited the vehicle and fled on foot.

No injuries were reported.

Police say the suspect is described as a white male who stands approximately 6'0'' tall and weighs about 200 pounds.  Authorities say he was wearing a long yellow rain jacket, yellow reflective vest, hooded sweatshirt, black mask and white hardhat. Authorities say he was carrying an orange traffic cone during the alleged robbery.

Prior to the alleged robbery, authorities say the suspect was observed measuring trees near the store as well as the outside of the Rite Aid building with a tape measure.

Authorities say detectives believe this may be the same suspect who previously robbed a Rite Aid in Logan Township, Gloucester County.
