Authorities: 3 Men Posing As Police Officers Attack, Rob Man In Cumberland County

BRIDGETON, N.J. (AP) — A southern New Jersey man says three men posing as police officers assaulted him and stole two cellphones during a robbery.

The victim told Bridgeton police that he and two friends were outside a city home early Sunday when three men dressed in black approached them and claimed to be police.

The victim's two friends ran into the home, but he couldn't make it in and was attacked by the three assailants.

The victim, who was not seriously injured, said all three attackers had guns and fled in a sport utility vehicle.
