Authorities: 1 Person Killed In NJ Crash

MIDDLETOWN, N.J. (AP) — Authorities say one person was killed when their car crashed on a central New Jersey roadway.

Middletown Township police say the accident occurred around 3:30 a.m. Sunday on Navesink River Road. The person killed was alone in the vehicle, and it did not appear that any other vehicles were involved in the crash.

The accident also caused a fire, but further details have not been disclosed.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. The name of the person killed has not been released.
