AT&T Waives Call Fees To Turkey Following Istanbul Attack

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Telecommunications company AT&T is helping people in the United States stay in touch with friends and relatives in Turkey following the attack at the Istanbul airport.

AT&T is waiving and crediting charges incurred for wireless and landline calls placed by AT&T customers from the US to Turkey between June 28 through June 30. They're also waiving messaging fees.

According to Turkish officials, 41 people were killed Tuesday night when several suicide bombers blew themselves up in the international terminal of Istanbul Ataturk Airport. More than 200 people were also injured.
