Atlantic County Officer Injured After Crashing Into Utility Pole

PLEASANTVILLE, N.J. (CBS) -- A police officer was injured after crashing her SUV into utility pole in Atlantic County, New Jersey.

It happened around 5:30 a.m. Saturday along Route 9 near Adams Avenue in Pleasantville.

Police say the officer lost control of the vehicle and slammed into a utility pole, taking it down.

The unidentified officer suffered minor injuries. She was taken to the hospital where she was treated and released.

The crash is under investigation.
