Threat Causes Lockdown At Atlantic City High School

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (CBS) - Atlantic City High School was placed on a lockdown Wednesday after a threat was made against the school.

Police arrived at the school, located in the 1400 block of North Albany Avenue, just before 10:30 a.m.

The school was placed on lockdown while officers investigated the threat.

Police say officers were notified that weapons may be hidden outside of the school. Several students were interviewed following the incident.

Just before noon, officials announced students would be dismissed on their school bus. They had a scheduled half-day.

Police say that all students and faculty are safe.

No specific details about the threat have been released.
